EEO#.ZMODE

Description

Sets the type of Z pulse (index pulse) an EEO generator will create.

SOURCE
0 (default) Once per revolution One Z pulse per revolution of the output. EEO#.ZOFFSET defines the position of the Z pulse within the revolution.
1 Absolute One Z pulse in the whole position range. EEO#.ZP defines the position of the Z pulse.

In EEO#.MODE 0 (A quad B), the Z pulse will be high when A and B are high.

For EEO#.MODE 1 (cw/ccw or step/dir), the width of the Z pulse is defined with EEO#.PULSEWIDTH.

When using ZMODE 0 or 1 and multi-turn or single turn absolute feedback devices, the Z pulse generated by the EEO will always be aligned with the same mechanical position of the of the primary feedback position. If you are using an incremental feedback deviceClosed A process whereby some proportion of the output signal of a system is passed (fed back) to the input. In automation, a device coupled to each motor to provide indication of the motor's shaft angle, for use in commutating the motor and controlling its speed and position then the origin of the primary feedback is not at the same mechanical position each time the drive powers up.

If you are using EEO2 on X22, there is no Z pulse hardware signal so ZMODE has no effect.
